Arizona State University is proud to team up with Major League Baseball as a preferred education partner to help current and former players build successful careers beyond baseball.

Supporting players on and off the field

Together, we’re empowering athletes to excel in their careers and lives by offering flexible, high-quality learning opportunities in both English and Spanish. Our online programs are designed to inspire lifelong learning and help players drive meaningful change in their lives and communities.

Our online learning platforms are designed to support demanding athletic schedules, allowing players to learn from anywhere — even while traveling or training — without compromising their professional commitments.

ASU’s faculty are renowned research professionals and industry leaders dedicated to student success. Online students learn from the same faculty and follow the same curriculum as on-campus students.

Our flexible educational programs have options in both English and Spanish, ensuring every athlete can access the support and resources they need to succeed.

Rooted in ASU’s charter values of inclusion, innovation and community impact, this partnership combines Major League Baseball’s commitment to player development with ASU’s mission to reach all learners, including non-traditional and underserved communities.

How can players get started?

Through this partnership, current or former MLB players can begin or continue their academic journey on a path tailored specifically to their needs. With education options in both English and Spanish, players can earn their GED or high school diploma, enhance their English language skills, complete short-form certificate programs to develop specific skills or pursue a college degree. Every player has access to a dedicated bilingual ASU success coach offering personalized support, including tailored degree plans, tutoring, cutting-edge technologies and resources.
